In case you didn't hear, Google has censored the Internet of The People's Republic of China, and of course, the United States of America declared war on Iraq on March 20, 2003. These two events are similar in that they both show the United States ignoring the popular sovereignty of other countries.
In the case of Operation Iraqi Operation, President George Bush ignored the popular sovereignty of the citizens of Iraq. This is why I do not think the democracy which the United States is trying to establish for Iraq will work. To establish a true, working democracy, people must work together, like our forefathers did over two hundred years ago.
In the case of Google, they are supporting China's ignoration of the Chinese citizens' human rights, in this case, freedom of speech and freedom of the press, by censoring the Chinese people's Internet. I do support some censorship, but censoring the Chinese people's Internet takes it a bit too far, in my opinion. As usual, I shall leave it to you, the reader, to draw your own opinion; is it right for the United States to ignore the popular sovereignty of other coutries?
